The books, magazines and periodicals, many of which relate to the history of the Great Western Railway, date from the late nineteenth century to the present day.
Technical drawings
The building, repair and restoration work undertaken by John Glaze is based on a range of accurate technical drawings.
Some of the technical drawings of full-size steam locomotives are copies.
But a significant number are the original general arrangements or frame plans produced by the railway companies.
These may be available to other businesses or individuals involved in researching steam locomotive manufacture.
